Celebrating Successes

As we come to a close on 2024, we want to remind employers to look back on the positives and successes of the year. We often start a new year with a focus on goals, ideas and a drive to move forward. Leaders, as the person steering the ship, typically focus on the path ahead and upward momentum, but might forget to celebrate the wins of the past. Employees in today’s labour market, more than ever, desire to feel like what they are doing matters. As such, it is important for the leader to highlight to their team the great things they’ve accomplished. The team at Hire Standard is motivated, efficient and work in a fast paced industry. However, we see the value of taking the time to recognize and celebrate when we reach a goal or achieve success. We do this by ringing a bell and making a note of the reason every time the team or an individual experiences a win – usually larger, but sometimes the small things make the list too; we don’t have firm rules about what constitutes a ‘bell ringing’. At the beginning of next year in our planning meeting, we will reflect on all we’ve accomplished in the past year, and this fairly small act has a large impact on motivating us to move forward into the new year.

We are encouraged and proud of the year we had and as we move into a new year, we hope to have another year full of bell ringing successes and get the most out of the bell – wring the bell if you will.
