Emma has been an active member of the community for over 20 years both professionally and personally. She began her career in sales and has been instrumental in the start up of many community businesses, making her an expert in the area of recruiting, business development, customer service and pre-employment screening. Emma is the founder of Hire Standard Inc., which lets her use all of those talents and where she focuses on pre-employment screening, staff retention strategies and hiring for your company culture.
Emma has been a member of the Original Breakfast Club where she has filled positions on various committees and held the role of President for the 2006/2007 term and has served as a past Director for the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce.
There is no one as good at finding you that perfect person for your company like Emma. Well, maybe Lorie Hayes…but that’s because they’re practically the same person!
Partner & Director of Operations
Mandy came to Lethbridge from Calgary in pursuit of a Broadcast Journalism Diploma from the Lethbridge College, which she obtained before advancing onto the University of Lethbridge where she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Mandy brings a strategic focus, experience in staffing and operations management to Hire Standard Inc.
Mandy has been a member of The Rotary Club of Lethbridge since 2005 and has been on the Executive for the past 8 years, serving as Club President 2017/2018. A current Senator with the University of Lethbridge since 2014, Mandy has taken on numerous volunteer and community positions including being President of the Lethbridge Montessori Society, Executive Member for 100 Companies that Care and past director on the Board of The Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, she was recognized as one of Lethbridge's Top 40 Under 40 by the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce and was nominated for the AWE Uprising Award in 2016.
The best way to describe Mandy’s position with Hire Standard is the way Emma says it…”I work in the Business and Mandy works on it.”
Senior Staffing Manager
Lorie is a Southern Alberta girl born and raised and we’ve been lucky enough to have her as part of our Hire Standard team since 2008. There is nothing that Lorie can’t do as she has seen us through our major growth in the last five years and has been an intricate reason for it! Lorie is extremely dedicated to our clients and to finding them the right person. She is an expert in Executive Recruiting and in the area of Background Screening. She is kind, caring, compassionate and honest, however she’s not easily swindled by stories and nothing gets by her. She has seen and heard it all in her almost 10 years at Hire Standard but continues to love what she does and is exceedingly good at it!
Lorie is a member of HRML and past HRIA Rising Star Nominee. Lorie is also an active member in the sports world thanks to her four children and all of their various sporting activities. Lorie is a strong, effective, smart and hard-working woman who knows the world of staffing and the intricacies that accompany it.
Stephanie is our forever girl! She was with us when we first started and has continued to be with us along the way, in between babies (she has four!) her large family, volunteer service and church work. Stephanie is smart and catches on to things quick, which makes it easy to work with her as she picks up where she leaves off, no matter how much time has passed. Now that her children are almost all school aged, Stephanie is in the office almost daily and her intelligent, bright and efficient work ethic is a breath of fresh air.
Stephanie is our administrative guru. She has her BA from the University of Lethbridge and is always interested in learning more, doing more and expanding her knowledge, as to better serve our company. She is beautiful on the inside and out and such a pleasure to be around. She works hard, is an excellent communicator, has an extremely high level of integrity and has always been a wonderful Hire Standard ambassador!
Staffing Specialist, Temporary Division
Amber has been with Hire Standard since September 2017. In that time, she has not only become a wonderful addition to our team with her bubbly personality and quick wit, she has really helped to develop our temporary division.
Amber has two children and has been married for almost 20 years. She spent two of those years living abroad in the U.K. and brings her sense of adventure and adaptability from that, to her job on a daily basis. Amber and her family host International students on a regular basis and because of her warm and caring ways, has 'children' all over the world. Amber is a creative soul and enjoys baking and decorating cakes and saving, refinishing and re-purposing old furniture.
Amber is working hard to meet our clients temporary staffing needs. She is fun, kind and hard working and we are very happy that she is part of our Hire Standard team!
